VZN·STUDIO

The founder

I didn't start VZN because I wanted to be a designer. I started it because I needed one.

Taliah Cornish. Division I point guard. Founder of VZN Studio and MYVZN — a print-on-demand streetwear brand she runs solo.

Design that plays to win.

The designer

I'm a Division I point guard. Basketball came first, and for a long time it was the only thing. But an athlete today isn't just a player — you're a name, a look, a brand people follow. I needed my own merch. I needed gameday graphics. I needed a visual identity that looked like the athlete I was becoming.

Nobody was going to hand me that. So I opened a canvas and started making it myself — badly at first, then less badly, then good. Reps. The same way I learned everything else.

Then other athletes saw it. Then businesses saw it. And the question started coming in over and over:

“Can you do mine?”

That question turned a solution into a studio. VZN Studio designs for athletes, entrepreneurs, brands, teams and creators — the people who are actually building something, not the people who already made it. I know that lane because I'm in it.

I still run MYVZN solo: the designs, the drops, the storefront, the orders. Which means when I build a brand for you, I'm not guessing what it takes to run one.

How it happened

The VZN timeline

No overnight story. Seven stages, in order. Tap any one to open it up.

  1. Before any of this, the work was reps, film and early gyms. Point guard.

  2. I needed merch, gameday graphics and a look of my own. So I made them.

  3. Someone saw the work and asked the question that started everything: can you do mine?

  4. MYVZN — a print-on-demand streetwear brand I built and still run by myself.

  5. A business needed more than graphics. It needed somewhere to send people.

  6. Sports, branding, web and graphics under one roof. Design that plays to win.

  7. More athletes. More brands. Bigger builds. Same standard.

Why it works

Built from both sides

01 — On the court

Athlete

I understand competition. I know what it feels like to be one of a hundred people trying to get noticed, and I know that standing out is a thing you build on purpose. Your graphics are competing for attention the same way you are.

02 — On the canvas

Designer

I understand visual identity. Colour, type, hierarchy, restraint — the system underneath a brand that makes every post look like it came from the same place. That's the part people feel before they can explain it.

03 — On my own

Founder

I understand building from nothing. No team, no budget, no audience — just the thing you're making and whether it's good enough. I've done the version of your problem where you have to figure it out yourself.

The translation

Reps → iterations

Nothing about the process changed when I switched from a court to a canvas. Only the words did.

Reps
Iterations

You don't get it on the first attempt. You get it on the fortieth. Same drill, new file.

Game plan
Strategy

Know who you're up against and what you're trying to make happen before you touch anything.

Film
Research

Study the tape. What's already working for you, what's working for everyone else, and where the gap is.

Execution
Design

The plan is worth nothing until it's built. This is the part that gets delivered.

Result
Impact

The scoreboard is the only honest critic. Did it move people, or did it just look nice?

The brand behind the studio

I don't just design brands.
I run one.

MYVZN is my print-on-demand streetwear brand. Solo operation — I do the designs, the product setup, the storefront, the drops and the orders. It's the reason the studio's advice isn't theoretical.

When you hire VZN Studio, you're hiring someone who has already had to make her own brand work with no team behind it — and who designs for the parts of the job nobody warns you about.
